Al-hamdulilah it must be at least 7/8 years now since I fasted my first Ramadan. When I first started fasting it was a wonderful experience (nothing will ever beat the high of the first taste of dates and water after the first day of fasting). I can’t really express all the wonders and benefits of the month in the scope of this short post. However, I would like to share some thoughts on Ramadan and some tips for new Muslims out there who are perhaps preparing to fast for the first time.Read more "Ramadan Kareem – Tips for new Muslims"
Bismillah Rahman Ar-Raheem. Obedience is an interesting thing. In the West it used to be considered good, but these days is mostly regarded as bad but with limits. Rebels are revered but the rebel shouldn’t be TOO rebellious in that the rebellion pushes the unseen boundaries of respectable rebellion, the rebel becoming a criminal. For example […]Read more "Some thoughts on Obedience"
Bismillah Rahman Ar-Raheem Travels in Indonesia Continued… After our lovely home stay concluding the terror ferry ride, we continued our travels through Sumatra to visit the beautiful lake Toba. Bismillah Rahman ar-Raheem Your Culture is what you do and think without thinking about it.
